The I-5 Interstate 5 Highway is the busiest, and arguably
the most important highway on the west coast of North America... the i-5 is the main
north-south land-based transportation corridor that ties together west coast of
United States for the transport of both people and cargo... the large map
above shows the i-5 (highlighted in
pink) approx. where it travels across the west coast of North America.
The Interstate 5 is known by a number of names... Interstate 5 is
sometimes generally referred to as; the "i-5", "the 5", "Freeway 5" the "i-5
Highway", the "i-5 Corridor", "the Big Road", "Pacific Highway",
just to name a few... in
California, certain sections of the Interstate 5 are also called; the "Golden
State Highway", the "Santa Ana Freeway", and the "San Diego Freeway".
